- 122 people received STD education and testing, and we implemented REAL Essentials curriculum in-center, better equipping us to discuss sexual integrity and healthy relationships in the context of our medical clinic.
- Jan McDonald, our CEO for the past 15 years, transitioned leadership to Melanie Smeenk, our new CEO. The transition was well planned and was made official in a Passing The Torch ceremony in May. The transition has gone smoothly and everyone agrees that Melanie is doing a fabulous job as CEO.
- Staff have taken on changes in their roles with excellence, leaving no gaps.
- Our board has navigated the transition and other big decisions this year with excellence.
- A new volunteer took over our Fatherhood Program, increasing the number of male clients we serve.
- 7 new volunteers joined our team, helping with consulting, photography, presenting, office work, and more.
- 11 people joined our Champion Club, which is donors who commit to monthly giving.
- The mobile unit served 33 women & men – even though it was down for almost half the year. Our mobile unit is currently driving well, and our mobile team is great—their hearts are really in it.
- One of our nurses was able to assist a pregnancy center in Tri-Cities with launching their mobile unit.
- We had the opportunity to represent Life Options at 5 health resource fairs and other community events.
- Added live chat to our client website, so that clients can easily ask questions online in real time.
- 40 churches participated in Sanctity of Human Life in January and the Baby Bottle Campaign, with 1,350 bottles going out. 14 churches had a special presentation by a Life Options speaker. Total raised was $21,178
- The Walk for Life in April was a beautiful day, with 89 sponsored walkers and $52,777 raised.
- Successful Advancement Event in October, with nearly 250 guests in attendance, and lots of positive feedback on our speaker, Mike Williams. Total raised was $129,957
- AWARE, our healthy choices/abstinence program reached over 3,000 students, and 70% of teens chose abstinence after hearing our AWARE presentations.
- Revamped our high school AWARE Curriculum with REAL Essentials to include more interactive activities, updated info, and options for longer presentations which was requested by schools.
- Applied for and were approved for a federal grant from HHS for our AWARE program, though the project is unfunded pending a lawsuit filed against it.
- We did 5 Greater Than presentations, a series geared to help students in church youth groups live with sexual integrity.
- Presented our Greater Than materials to a Lower Valley Ministerial Meeting in May, which has led to good church connections, open doors for presentations and new volunteers.
