AAAHC Update

Dear Friends,

As you know we are pursuing accreditation through AAAHC, and I wanted to share an exciting update with you! With the accreditation, we are required to make some modifications to our facility to meet certain standards. We made the decision to start with our Grandview clinic because the remodel project is much smaller than what we require for Sunnyside. The main modification included adding an ADA restroom. We have been blessed with the help of some community members who have provided much assistance in putting plans in place to make these accommodations. Our contractor began the project less than one month ago and it is coming along beautifully! The demo is complete, electrical has been re-wired, new walls are installed and flooring will be put in this week!

I’m so impressed by projects like this because I’m not able to visualize how it will look until it’s done.  Getting to see the daily progress and watching it all come together is incredible.

It’s felt a bit chaotic at times with stuff being moved around and the noise of the equipment, not to mention having only one bathroom for the staff and our clients to share. We know the end result will be worth it; so, we endure. We also celebrate the small wins like new walls and fresh paint! It’s funny how excited we get over the little things.

A remodel project is a bit like life sometimes. God has a plan for us that we may not be able to visualize, but day by day we can see it unfold, leading us toward the big picture. We may not be comfortable in the chaotic moments, but we can take notice of all the ways, big and small, that God shows up for us.

There’s promise in the process!

Executive Director
